Aussie Open Officially Sign With AEW

The former IWGP Tag champs are All Elite

Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis of Aussie Open have officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Tony Khan confirmed the signing of the duo in a tweet, writing"They're one of the top tag teams in the world, and now it's official: Aussie Open @kylefletcherpro +  @DUNKZILLADavis are ALL ELITE! Incredible match tonight Kyle Fletcher on @TBSNetwork on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, and get well soon, Mark Davis! Congratulations #AussieOpen!"

Fletcher unsuccessfully challenged Orange Cassidy for the International Title on Wednesday's Dynamite broadcast. Mark Davis is currently sidelined with an injury, resulting in him and Fletcher vacating the IWGP and NJPW STRONG Tag Team titles this past weekend.

Fightful Select reported on Wednesday evening that WWE had interest in signing Aussie Open. The report also stated that AEW, "... was actually very confident that they were going to sign the duo."

In addition to holding tag team gold in New Japan, Davis and Fletcher have held gold in OTT, PROGRESS, wXw, and RevPro. The two men teamed with Will Ospreay in the tournament to crown the first-ever AEW Trios Tag Team champions last summer.
