Big Free Agent Tag Team Signs With WWE

WWE have officially signed a sought after tag team

After several months of back and forths, maybes, rumours, and nothing being officially confirmed, it looks as though the question of who The Motor City Machine Guns will sign with has finally been put to bed. Earlier this week it was reportedly expected that the duo of Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley would be WWE bound, and now it is official.

PWNPWInsider and Fightful Select have had it confirmed directly from WWE sources that The Motor City Machine Guns have officially signed with the company and will debut on the developmental brand in the very near future. PWInsider noted that they are expected to make their debut either on NXT’s debut on the CW Network on Tuesday October 1, or potentially even before that date. Corey of PWN noted that WWE had agreed a deal with MCMG which allowed them to wrap independent dates. Merch and logos are being worked through, though an entrance theme is reportedly finished up by Def Rebel.

There are currently no details on the length of the deal that they have signed or whether they are planned to stay in NXT for a while before moving onto the main roster. AEW were reportedly interested in the pair, pitching creative, but nothing came of it and they ultimately opted to sign with WWE.
