Motor City Machine Guns Reportedly WWE-Bound

Motor City Machine Guns set to join WWE

Following months of rumours and speculation, the Motor City Machine Guns are reportedly heading to WWE and may debut as soon as WWE NXT's premiere on The CW, a show which will air from Chicago's Allstate Arena on October 1.

That is according to PWNexus, who reported: "Sources close to #PWNexus have informed us that MCMG are #WWENXT bound, with their debut potentially as soon as NXT's CW premiere. We are working to reach out to other sources to further confirm. More details for subscribers of the #PWN Army on our discord."

The Motor City Machine Guns have been free agents for the past several months since Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin finished up with TNA Wrestling in March. It was initially expected they would head to All Elite Wrestling but it emerged in August that MCMG were now expected to join WWE at some point.

Sabin and Shelley have remained active on the independent wrestling scene during their time as free agents, although neither has wrestled since facing Evil Uno and Stu Grayson in Smash Wrestling on August 18.

WWE NXT have major plans for the show's premiere on The CW. Already announced for the show is Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams for the NXT Championship and Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia for the NXT Women's Title. CM Punk and other main roster stars are also planned to appear.
