Booker T Believes Keith Lee Could Be An Instant Main Eventer In AEW
Keith Lee became ‘All Elite’ last week
The wrestling world could talk about little else last week aside from Keith Lee’s impressive AEW debut, with the ‘Limitless One' receiving a hero’s welcome when he took on Isiah Kassidy on AEW: Dynamite.
It wasn’t just fans who were impressed with Keith Lee, as Booker T was full of praise for the former NXT Champion, saying the following on the Reality of Wrestling podcast:
“I can see Keith Lee coming in and making an impact, going into the ladder match, that’s big. For me, Keith Lee coming back, short tights, no shirt. You can tell he was feeling himself just a little bit. This time off was probably a lot of training sessions in the gym, late-night, getting ready for this debut. He was actually quite exceptional as far as conditioning, coming back after this long of a layoff. Especially with the big moves over the top and whatnot.”
With his inaugural win, Lee is set for the Face of the Revolution ladder match at Revolution in March, with a TNT Championship shot on the line, but Booker thinks Keith could easily be slotted straight into the main event:
“Keith Lee could be that player, and immediately, he goes to the top of the food chain,” Booker stated. “As being one of those guys that can be a player from an AEW World Title perspective. Put him right in the mix with anybody, and I think you’ve got something there.”
