Bryan Danielson Reveals Why He Signed With AEW Over WWE

What encouraged the American Dragon to cross the divide?

AEW's Bryan Danielson recently appeared on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, and at one point discussed his decision to leave WWE for Tony Khan's promotion, explaining:

"I’m someone who lollygags and waits for a decision. I was so content that it actually it made it easier to deliberate even further. So there wasn’t necessarily one thing, but when I did the checks and balances as far as what do I want in my life, where can I make a bigger impact and help more people, what the quality of my life would be for my children; two things that are not related at all would be being able to spend time with my family, and being able to bleed."

Danielson went on to specifically mention asking Vince McMahon about the possibility of bleeding in matches - something Vince apparently turned down.

Danielson recently faced Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution, losing a bloody, hard-hitting match. The pair continued to brawl afterwards, only for William Regal to make his shock AEW debut and force them to shake hands.
