Buddy Matthews' New AEW Deal Believed To Be 'Very Lucrative'

Buddy Matthews signed to a lucrative deal in AEW

Buddy Matthews is sitting pretty in All Elite Wrestling, if a new report is to be believed.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the new contract that Buddy Matthews signed with All Elite Wrestling was a "very lucrative deal", which is one of the reasons why the House of Black member agreed to put pen to paper on a new contract. There is no word on the length of Matthews' new contract with AEW.

Buddy Matthews has been a part of AEW since early 2022 and he is believed to have signed the new deal in February 2024. Matthews is a part of House of Black with Malakai Black, Brody King, and Julia Hart.

Matthews' future with AEW looked in doubt and Meltzer noted that Buddy did attempt to give his notice to AEW at one point but Tony Khan wasn't going to release anyone for them to just go back to WWE.

The former AEW World Trios Champion is currently off TV, after being written off with a backstage attack from The Patriarchy. He took time off to get married to Rhea Ripley.
