Christian Cage Didn't Require Surgery For Recent Arm Injury

Christian Cage didn’t go under the knife after recent arm injury

After several months on the injured list, Christian Cage made his return to All Elite Wrestling in the run-up to AEW Revolution 2023, reigniting his feud with "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry ahead of a match at the PPV event.

Cage beat Perry in seconds at AEW All Out in September 2022 before taking time off due to an arm injury, and according to Cage’s long-time rival/friend Matt Hardy, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion didn’t undergo surgery for his injury, saying the following on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast:

“I give Christian (Cage) big props because he was injured. It turns out he didn’t have to have surgery but he had to do some pretty tough and strenuous rehab to get back into the position he needed to be to be able to wrestle, work again and he came back in-in top shape and he looked like a million bucks out there with Jungle Boy (at AEW Revolution) and they had a great match and I was a big fan of it. It was a big win for Jungle Boy, truly an elevating match and I was very proud of Christian’s work and I thought Jack did a great job being the young guy who’s going to be one of the pillars in the future of AEW,” said Hardy.

Perry went on to defeat Cage at Revolution in a hard-hitting Final Burial match.
