CM Punk's Return & More Added To AEW Dynamite

CM Punk is coming back to AEW

Outside of a pre-taped promo, CM Punk hasn't appeared on AEW Dynamite since he defeated MJF in a Dog Collar Match at the Revolution pay-per-view. That is set to change tonight, though, and Tony Khan announced Punk will return on the show from Cedar Park, Texas.

Why Punk has been away from AEW has not been confirmed, but recent reports noted The Second City Saviour has been involved in filming for the second season of 'Heels', the pro wrestling drama series in which he plays veteran indy wrestler Ricky Rabies.

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson will also team together again on Dynamite, this time against The Varsity Blonds. Red Velvet and Leyla Hirsch will have a rubber match on Dynamite too and Kris Statlander is banned from ringside.

Furthermore, two former ROH World Champions in Jay Lethal and Adam Cole will go one on one for the first time since November 2016.

Check out the Dynamite lineup below:

  • Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds

  • Darby Allin, Sting & The Hardys vs. Private Party, The Butcher & The Blade
  • Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson vs. Varsity Blonds
