Damian Priest's First Challenger For WWE World Heavyweight Title Revealed

Number one contender for World Heavyweight Title determined on WWE Raw

Damian Priest's first challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship was determined in the main event of Monday night's Raw after WrestleMania 40.

The main event saw a Four-Way take place between Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed, and Ricochet. Drew McIntyre, who lost the World Heavyweight Title to Damian Priest at WrestleMania 40, looked set to earn a title shot as he lined up for his 3-2-1 Claymore, only for CM Punk to appear from out of nowhere and grab McIntyre's leg.

The momentary distraction allowed Jey Uso to connect with a Jumping Superkick, a Spear, and an Uso Splash to pin McIntyre and become the new number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE have yet to announce when Uso will challenge Damian Priest for the belt.

Following the main event, Uso addressed becoming the number-one contender in a Raw Exclusive.

"Damn, that sounds good. Man, we wrapping up WrestleMania week with a big W. Man, I'm on fire. I'm happy. Look, I'm ecstatic. I'm proud. Hard work is paying off. You know what it is. YEET," Uso said.

Jey then commented on CM Punk's interference, noting he thinks it's because of their recent trip to a Chicago Blackhawks game together.

"You know why? It's because we bought ice cream together. We was watching hockey together, uce. We was watching hockey together, uce. He's like, 'Hold up, man.' My boy Jey out there, Drew McIntyre stay trippin', I'm gonna tie his shoes for him. What he do? CM Punk gave me the assist. Passed it off to me, grabbed it, slam dunk, boomed on Drew. Boom," Uso added.

WWE's next pay-per-view/premium live event will be Backlash on May 4 in Lyon, France.
