Steel Cage Match To Feature On SmackDown's Debut On USA Network

WWE SmackDown's return to USA will feature a Steel Cage match

Friday Night SmackDown will be returning to the USA Network on next week’s September 13 edition of the blue brand, ending a five year stay with FOX. The show will host a huge main event with the Undisputed WWE Championship being on the line.

On last night’s show, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came face to face with The Bloodline’s leader Solo Sikoa, who he defeated at SummerSlam thanks to the help of the returning Roman Reigns. Rhodes initially challenged Jacob Fatu to a title match, but pressure from Sikoa made Fatu step down and allow Sikoa to take that spot. Their WWE Championship match was made official by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but this time it would come inside a Steel Cage. This will not only mark the first Undisputed WWE Title match on SmackDown since 2022, but also only the second main roster Steel Cage match of the year.

It was also announced that next week’s USA Network return would see Kevin Owens finding a “mystery tag team partner” to take on the A-Town Down Under pairing of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, and Carmelo Hayes would battle Andrade in a rubber match after currently being 2-2 in their series.
