Daniel Bryan Still Has A Chance Of Competing At WrestleMania 34

The SmackDown GM had some interesting things to say in a recent interview.

Daniel Bryan recently spoke to The National while visiting Abu Dhabi, and spoke in the interview (via WrestlingInc) about his chances of competing at WrestleMania 34.

The SmackDown general manager revealed that storyline plans are in place should he not be cleared for action, but also that other plans have been made should he be cleared.

Bryan also acknowledged that the likelihood of him being cleared to wrestle for WWE again is far from certain, stating:

'As of this moment, as of today, I am not cleared by WWE. I have done everything in my power. Everything they have asked me to and I have gone above and beyond [...] So far every doctor has cleared me that they have sent me to, and so there is a chance. I used to think that the percentage of the WWE ever clearing me was low. I think with the stuff that I have done it has gone a little higher but I don't know how much higher.'

Bryan has been open in previous interviews about his desire to wrestle again, having been cleared by several doctors outside of WWE. He has even hinted that if WWE do not clear him, he could let his current contract expire and wrestle again on the independent scene.

Bryan headlined WrestleMania XXX (which, like this year's show, was held in New Orleans), and won the WWE Championship in an emotional main event. Prior to his WWE career, he was a very popular figure on the independent scene - holding championships in promotions such as Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
