Danny Burch To Make In-Ring Return In Early 2023

A former WWE NXT talent is getting back in the ring.

Martin Stone (FKA Danny Burch) appeared at the Championship District Wrestling event from Atlanta, Georgia, on December 18, appearing in a pre-taped vignette. Burch proceeded to call out August Artois for a match and they will face off at the promotion's show on January 15. 

Burch also noted that he has not wrestled as he has been injured. The former NXT talent's last match was back in September 2021 when he and Oney Lorcan unsuccessfully challenged MSK for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Burch was written off TV following the match in a post-match beatdown from Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland. 

Burch transitioned to a coaching role soon after but he was released in January 2022 as part of NXT cuts that also included Samoa Joe, William Regal, Timothy Thatcher, and Road Dogg. 

Also at the Championship District Wrestling event on December 18, Captain Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo defeated Ernest "The Cat" Miller, Diamond Sheik, and "Big Trouble" Ben Bishop. In the main event, Billy Gunn and QT Marshall picked up a win over EC3 and Pyscho Boy Fodder.
