Darby Allin Not 100% Despite Replacing Eddie Kingston For AEW Anarchy In The Arena

Darby Allin not 100% for AEW Anarchy in the Arena after replacing Eddie Kingston

Darby Allin made his surprise return to All Elite Wrestling on the May 15 edition of Dynamite, joining FTR and Bryan Danielson in fighting off The Elite as tensions between the two sides escalate.

Allin was then revealed to be replacing the injured Eddie Kingston in the upcoming Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing on May 26, but in a post-show promo revealed that he’s not 100% ahead of the match:

“What a f****** crazy few months. Holy s***, I thought the worst happened when I broke my foot. Then I was in New York and got hit by a f****** bus. As you can see, I’m not 100%. I still have a little bit of a limp, I got a nose brace on. But f***, I am going to Anarchy in the Arena because I want to defend AEW’s honour. Like I said, I’m not 100%. Jesus, when [Dax Harwood] just did that suplex, I was sitting criss-cross applesauce, and a f****** beam hit me in the head. I thought I got knocked out. I was like, ‘There goes my return.’ [Laughs] I’m not gonna keep you here for long because there’s some more bad-ass action to come. I gotta go to the hospital or something. I’ll talk to you guys later," Allin said.

Allin last wrestled on the Big Business special of Dynamite on March 13, losing to Jay White in a match where Allin ended up breaking his foot. Allin was later hit by a bus in New York in April 2024.
