Darby Allin Shocked He Wasn't Hospitalised By Recent Ladder Spot

Darby Allin was surprised the move didn't end in disaster

Darby Allin has developed a reputation for being a daredevil in All Elite Wrestling and he certainly earned that reputation on the May 11 episode of Dynamite when he squared off with Jeff Hardy.

In a match that featured a missed Swanton Bomb from Hardy onto the steel steps, Darby performed the biggest spot when he hit a Senton from the top of a ladder inside the ring onto his opponent and a pile of chairs on the outside.

Speaking about the spot on DDP Snake Pit, Jake Roberts revealed that Darby was shocked he didn't end up having to go to hospital after the move.

"I seen him three days after that and he's seen me coming and he's like, 'Oh, boy,' he's already ducking me cause he knows I'm gonna chew his ass! 'What the f**k are you doing?' I said, 'Tell me what you were thinking before that?' He goes, 'Jake, I was starting to go up. When I got up there, I thought, Well, I'm here, I'm going to the hospital. I know I'm going to the hospital this time.' He said, 'I was quite shocked that I didn't! I hit and I started moving stuff and it all still worked, and I thought, It wasn't that bad!' I said, 'That's the worst thing you could have told me!'" Roberts recalled.

Darby didn't miss any TV time following the match and he is currently locked in a feud with reDRagon after Kyle O'Reilly Pillmanised Sting's leg prior to Double Or Nothing. Allin then lost to O'Reilly at the May 29 pay-per-view and he will take on Bobby Fish on tonight's episode of AEW Rampage.
