Drew McIntyre Comments On Cesaro's WWE Departure

Cesaro quietly left WWE last week

With Cesaro leaving WWE, there’s a sizeable 'Swiss Superman' shaped hole on the roster.

Reportedly very like in the locker room, Cesaro was also one of WWE’s best in-ring workers, and former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has reflected on Cesaro’s exit, telling the In The Kliq podcast:

"That's a shame [Cesaro leaving WWE]. So many people come and go from the company, I'm one of them, and we always see each other down the line, but it sucks more when it's a friend and somebody that you really want to wrestle. That was my number one match, I think it was his number one match. We've both been wrestling for 20 years, but never had a singles match. So it’s gonna be a bit longer, it'll happen eventually. But, you know, he's got his family, he's got his new kid, and he's going to be just fine. He is far too talented not to be.”

A former ROH Tag Team Champion and PWG World Champion, Cesaro signed with WWE in 2011, winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the US Championship during his WWE run.
