Report: Hikuleo Added To WWE NXT Roster

Hikuleo's WWE plans revealed

WWE's plans for a new signing have been revealed.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Hikuleo has been added to the internal WWE NXT roster, suggesting he will begin his WWE run on the Tuesday night brand. When exactly Hikuleo will make his NXT debut is unknown.

Hikuleo reportedly signed with WWE in July, one month after he finished up with New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Dominion, an event which saw Hikuleo and his tag team partner El Phantasmo drop the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships to Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste of TMDK.

Hikuleo had been a part of New Japan since 2016 and he had received a sustained push since early 2023, first banishing Jay White from Japan before Hikuleo went on to win the NJPW STRONG Openweight Title, IWGP Tag Team Championships, and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles.

Hikuleo's brothers Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa both signed with WWE earlier this year. Their father is WWE Hall of Famer Haku.

WWE NXT will soon move to The CW, with the premiere set to take place on October 1. That show could feature the debut of a new tag team
