Report: WWE Plans For Motor City Machine Guns Revealed

Motor City Machine Guns' WWE plans revealed

WWE have big plans for the Motor City Machine Guns.

It was reported today that the Motor City Machine Guns are WWE-bound and they could debut as soon as the premiere episode of WWE NXT on The CW on October 1. The show will emanate from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Cory of PWNexus has since added that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are expected to be the faces of the NXT tag team division. Tag teams currently on NXT include NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer, Cedric Alexander and Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Chase U, the D'Angelo Family, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, Gallus, Hank and Tank, and OTM. Why the Motor City Machine Guns will be booked on NXT as opposed to the WWE main roster is unknown.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been free agents since exiting TNA Wrestling in March. It was expected at one point that the team would land in All Elite Wrestling, with Cory of PWNexus noting the two sides held talks but those negotiations ultimately fell through. WWE and the Motor City Machine Guns then had a meeting to discuss possible plans a few months ago and this has ultimately led to the team reportedly heading to WWE.
