Drew McIntyre Comments On Jeff Hardy Incident From December 4 WWE House Show

Jeff was released a few days later

Drew McIntyre has commented on Jeff Hardy walking out on a WWE house show match just days before his release from the company.

Hardy was in action with McIntyre and Xavier Woods in a Six-Man Tag Team Match against The Bloodline on a December 4 live event from Edinburg, Texas. The Charismatic Enigma grew sluggish as the match progressed, though, and he tagged out and headed backstage through the crowd while the contest was still underway.

WWE would then release Hardy on December 9 after the 44-year-old rejected their offer to send him to rehab.

McIntyre commented on the house show incident while speaking to DAZN and the two-time WWE Champion admitted he's happy as long as Jeff is happy.

"For one, as usual, the internet can take something and blow out of proportion. But all I'll say on the matter is I just want what's best for Jeff and for him to be healthy. As long as he's good, as long as he's healthy, as long as he's happy with his family, then Drew McIntyre is happy," Drew said.

Jeff has went on an acoustic and signing tour since his WWE release and several wrestlers in AEW, including Jeff's brother Matt Hardy, have mentioned they would like to see the former WWE Champion join Tony Khan's promotion.
