Zilla Fatu No Longer Appearing In GCW For "Foreseeable Future"

Zilla Fatu is leaving GCW with immediate effect

Zilla Fatu is another member of the Anoa’i Family who has his eyes set on WWE, teasing several times over the last year that he wants to join up with his family members in The Bloodline faction. The son of Umaga has been working in the likes of Reality Of Wrestling,  House Of Glory & Game Changer Wrestling since making his debut last year, but it seems as though his time with GCW is officially done with.

Fatu was scheduled to go one-on-one with Matt Tremont at GCW’s Aura show yesterday, but the company issued the following statement prior to the event, declaring that Fatu would no longer be appearing at GCW events going forwards.

“Zilla Fatu will not be appearing on tonite’s GCW event in Philadelphia, or any GCW shows for the foreseeable future. We tried our best to avoid this situation, but we have reached an impasse. We wish him the best. Matt Tremont will now face SLADE tonight at #GCWAura in Philly.”

Fatu competed in GCW as recently as this week on September 15, defeating Gringo Loco. No details were provided on why Fatu is not competing in GCW, though it was reported last month that WWE were scouting him
