Drew McIntyre Provides An Update On His Injury Status

Drew McIntyre has been out with injury since November 27

Drew McIntyre has given an update on his injury status, with the ‘Scottish Psychopath’ having not wrestled on WWE TV since Survivor Series WarGames in November.

McIntyre was set to team with Sheamus on the December 9 edition of Smackdown but was ‘medically disqualified’ from competing, with ‘Iron Drew’ giving the following statement to WWE’s The Bump via video message:

"I wish I could be there physically, sadly I can't right now. I appreciate everybody checking in. You know, if Drew McIntyre's not at work, there's a reason. But I can tell you all I'll be back very very soon. There's a certain season on the horizon - WrestleMania season - and I'm not going to miss that," said McIntyre.

There’s been no official word on what McIntyre is currently sidelined with, nor whether his injury is legitimate or a work, although reports suggest McIntyre is suffering from a 'ruptured eardrum'.

After the WarGames match on November 26, Drew wrestled at a WWE house show on November 27, teaming with Kevin Owens and The Brawling Brutes to defeat The Bloodline in eight-man tag action.
