Drew McIntyre Returning On Next Week's WWE Raw In Attempt To Resolve Suspension

Drew McIntyre gone from WWE Raw for one whole week

Drew McIntyre won't be away from WWE programming for very long.

McIntyre was suspended by Adam Pearce following his actions at the Money in the Bank post-show where he struck the Raw General Manager. McIntyre was given an indefinite suspension but CM Punk lobbied for McIntyre's suspension to be rescinded on Monday Night Raw. Pearce somewhat agreed to Punk's request, agreeing to bring McIntyre back to discuss possibly reinstating him.

McIntyre's return will take place on next week's Monday Night Raw. Also set for next week's Raw is Sheamus vs. Bronson Reed and a face-to-face between Damian Priest and Gunther ahead of their World Heavyweight Title match at SummerSlam.

Drew McIntyre was so apoplectic following Money in the Bank as CM Punk interfered in his MITB cash-in and ultimately cost 'Irn Dru' the match. McIntyre had won the men's ladder match earlier in the night and he cashed in during Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest to make it a Triple Threat. This ultimately allowed CM Punk to interfere as much as he wanted.

CM Punk's interference helped Damian Priest to record the successful title defence and Priest even scrapped the stipulation that prevented Seth Rollins from challenging for the belt again while he was champion on Raw.
