Eddie Kingston Teaming With Jun Akiyama During WrestleMania Weekend

Eddie Kingston set to team up with Jun Akiyama over WrestleMania weekend

He’s teamed against him, he’s fought him in singles competition, now Eddie Kingston gets to team with the legendary Jun Akiyama, with the two set to compete WrestleMania weekend at a DDT Pro event

‘The Mad King’ is a self confessed lover of classic All Japan Pro-Wrestling and the ‘King’s Road’ style, with Jun Akiyama often dubbed as the ‘Fifth Pillar’, and the only one of the five pillars still plying their trade today.

Kingston and Akiyama will take on the team of Daisuke Sasaki and Kanon on March 30 in Los Angeles, California, hosted as part of GCW’s The Collective series of events, alongside Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, and Joey Janela’s Spring Break.

After the match was announced, Akiyama took to Twitter, saying: “Eddie, beat them up together!”

Akiyama wrestled twice for AEW in November 2022, with the team of Akiyama and Konosuke Takeshita defeating Kingston and Ortiz on an episode of Rampage, before Kingston defeated the former Triple Crown Champion at Full Gear a night later - a match Kingston had loudly been requesting for some time.
