Emma Reveals How Her WWE Return Came About

Emma returned to WWE in October

After five years away from the company following her release in 2017, Emma returned to WWE in October, answering an open challenge from Ronda Rousey. Emma has since been a regular on SmackDown and she is currently paired on-screen with real-life boyfriend Madcap Moss.

Speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Emma revealed how her WWE return came about.

"So I guess it would have been within a few months after Triple H returned. I actually was working with IMPACT and my contract was coming up. I guess maybe even without really realising it, I had this idea in my mind that maybe I'm done with IMPACT and maybe there are other options that I should explore and to kind of see what's possible. That was probably coming from me watching WWE and seeing all these awesome changes and Triple H, what he was doing and, and I know I had that good rapport with him with all the stuff we did at NXT. So I just probably in the back of my mind started thinking like, 'I wonder if I could actually go back to WWE?'" Emma stated.

"It was within a short time after that, probably a month or two, we ended up in touch. He actually said to me that he's been meaning to reach out even sooner, that I'd been on his list, and he's just been swamped, basically, as you can imagine. So that's kind of where the conversation finally kicked off and then it went from there. Next thing you know, I'm actually back."

During her time out of WWE, Emma performed as Tenille Dashwood for the likes of Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling. She is a former Knockouts World Tag Team Champion, having held the gold with Madison Rayne.
