Lance Archer Open To Slowly Rebuilding In AEW

After recently expressing his frustration with his AEW and NJPW booking, Lance Archer admitted he is open to slowly rebuilding in All Elite Wrestling to get back to challenging for the promotion's titles. 

"I have created a base to who I am in the company, but things have gone awry. I'm okay with the idea of a slow rebuild. I'm okay with kind of reinventing myself and finding my place within the company to get back to fighting for those championships," Archer said on Busted Open Radio.

Archer also delved further into his frustration, adding: "I just know what I could be doing and should be doing. I'm ready for it to happen and I'm ready for it to happen now. I want to be there kicking ass with everyone who is on (AEW TV) and one of the big names everyone is paying attention to."

The Murderhawk Monster has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since early 2020. He currently holds a 57-14 win-loss record but Archer has rarely won his major matches, having unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW World and TNT titles on multiple occasions. His most recent match in AEW was a loss to Ricky Starks in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament.

The 45-year-old has also had long runs in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2022, having competed in the G1 Climax and World Tag League tournaments. He was recently a part of Suzuki-gun's farewell on December 23. 

Throughout his AEW run, Archer has been managed by Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the former IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion wants to keep their partnership going now that Roberts' health has improved.
