Full NXT Spoilers From This Week's Tapings: Returns, Debut & NXT TakeOver: Toronto Matches

We take a look at all the results from the second part of this week's NXT tapings.

Here are the full spoilers from this week's NXT tapings on June 13th from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. They come courtesy of Brian Druckenmiller.

1. Io Shirai came out. New music; new look. She got in the ring and pulled a Roman Reigns from Raw after WrestleMania 33: she stood in the ring, pulled the mic up to speak, and got booed. This went on for about ten minutes until she simply said: “I don’t need any friends. I don’t need any of you.” She dropped the mic and left.

2. Matt Riddle defeated Artura Ruas with repeated elbows and forearms to the head (the referee called for the bell). A mixed martial arts style match: no real spots. It felt like a shoot fight with a planned finish. After the match, a masked man in a hoodie hit the ring and attacked Riddle from behind. He revealed himself to be a returning Killian Dain. He continued beating up Riddle up the ramp, laid him out on the stage, and did a running senton that collapsed the stage.

3. KUSHIDA defeated a returning Apollo Crews. KUSHIDA won with the Hoverboard Lock.

4. Adam Cole came out and declared himself a fighting champion. He said that he was going to put his title on the line against “this guy,” and rolled video footage of Johnny Gargano as NXT Champion visiting a wrestling school. Cole then called out one of the students at the school named Twan Tucker. Tucker came out and Cole promised that there'll be no interference—just a one-on-one match. Tucker said he didn’t come alone, and Gargano’s music hit. Gargano and Cole brawled around the crowd and towards the stage.

5. Street Profits defeated Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch in a Tag Title defence. After the match, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish stood on the stage and the teams had stare-down.

6. Gargano and Cole come back through the crowd fighting, and the two made it back to the ring. Johnny locked in the Gargano escape, Cole tapped, and Johnny left.

7. Jordan Myles (ACH) defeated Angel Garza (Hector Garza Jr.) in a Semi-Finals match for the NXT Breakout Tournament. After the match, Myles shouted “I’m going to Takeover”, but no formal announce was made as to when the tournament finals would be held.

8. Bianca Belair defeated Xia Li.

9. Velveteen Dreams entered the ring and claimed that “The only way I’ll step down as champ is when the dream dies.” He then called out Roderick Strong, saying “Roddy is a hell of a man, but we know he’s not big enough to ride this ride.” Strong came out and stated that at Takeover: Toronto, “the dream will die.” This brought out a returning Pete Dunne. He snapped Strong’s fingers, stared down Dream, and then stared at the North American title as Dream backed out of the ring.

10. Io Shirai vs. Kacy Catanzaro barely got underway before Candice LaRae came down and attacked Io. Candice grabbed a chair but Io backed away.

11. Damian Priest defeated Keith Lee with heelish shenanigans involving the ref, followed by a crossroads.

12. Tyler Breeze defeated Jaxon Ryker via roll-up. Immediately following the match, the Forgotten Sons pummeled Breeze, which led to the return of Fandango. He hit the ring and helped Breeze take out the Forgotten Sons.

13. Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee) defeated Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock) in a Semi-Final match in Breakout Tournament, setting up a final of Grimes vs. Myles.

14. Baszler came out and ran down Mia Yim, saying that she’ll take care of her at Takeover. Yim came out and disagreed with Baszler's assessment. It seemed like they may have filmed a backstage segment in which Yim took out the other Horsewomen, though that was never shown.

15. Riddle came out for a match, but was taken out with a Killian Dain cross body. Dain beat Riddle up again, and Riddle was carried to the back.

16. KUSHIDA defeats the same unnamed wrestler from the previous night. Perhaps they needed a reshoot for the match? Almost the same match spot for spot.

17. William Regal came out for the Takeover contract signing between the Street Profits and Undisputed Era (O’Reilly and Fish). The Street Profits cut a very impassioned promo, saying “You’ve shocked the system since coming [...] you’re probably the best tag team ever. With that said, what makes you think losing is an option for us? There’s only one option, and that’s to win. At Takeover, Street Profits are gonna beat that ass, and that’s undisputed.”

18. Shane Thorne defeated Joaquin Wilde (DJZ).

19. Pete Dunne defeated Roderick Strong via finger-bending submission. After match, Dream tried sneaking up on Dunne, who caught him, snapped Dream’s fingers, and hit the Bitter End. Strong yelled that the North American title will be his. No official announcement was made, but perhaps a triple-threat at Takeover?

This leaves us with seven potential NXT Takeover: Toronto matches set up, but it's unclear which five will make the actual show:

Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain
Cameron Grimes vs. Jordan Myles in Breakout Tournament Finals
Io Shirai vs. Candice LaRae
Roderick Strong vs. Pete Dunne vs. Velveteen Dream for the North American Title
Street Profits vs. O’Reilly/Fish for the NXT Tag titles
Mia Yim vs. Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s title
Gargano vs. Cole III for the NXT Championship

In case you missed them, here are the spoilers from the previous day's tapings - again courtesy of Brian Druckenmiller

1. Dark Match: Rinku Singh defeated Sean Maluta

2. Undisputed Era came to the ring. Cole simply said “Told you so,” then reminded us that, soon enough, the Undisputed Era will have all the gold and all the power. Velveteen Dream interrupted and told Cole that the NXT title would look good alongside the North American title. Roderick Strong interrupted and told Dream that he doesn’t deserve a shot at the belt. Riddle then came out, stating that he has now beaten both Strong and Cole, to which Cole responds “Go back to writing reviews for Attitude Era stars". Finally, Tyler Breeze came out and told Undisputed Era to not take credit for building a brand that he had built before they even arrived. Says that there will be a six-man tag: Breeze, Dream, and Riddle against any three from UE.

3. Damian Priest (Punishment Martinez) defeated Raul Mendoza.

4. William Regal announced via video that, to introduce NXT’s eight new superstars, he has placed them in NXT’s Breakout Tournament. The winner will earn a title shot against the champ of their choosing.

5. Xia Li defeated Taynara

6. Strong, Fish, and Cole defeated Riddle/Breeze/Dream. Strong pinned Dream and there was some arguing between Breeze and Dream afterwards.

7. Angel Garza (Hector Garza Jr.) defeated Joaquin Wilde (DJZ) in the Breakout Tournament First Round Match.

8. Street Profits defeated Culter and Blake of the Forgotten Sons via DQ in a Tag Title match. This brought out Lorcan/Burch who helped fight off Forgotten Sons. They grabbed the titles and were a bit reluctant to hand them over the Street profits.

9. Keith Lee defeated Nykos Rikos - a total squash.

10. Mia Yim defeated Aliyah.

11. Kushida defeated an unnamed wrestler.

12. Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee) defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (Shane Strickland) in a Breakout Tournament First Round Match.

13. Bianca Belair defeated Priscilla Zuniga in a squash match.

14. Roderick Strong defeated Tyler Breeze after an Undisputed Era distraction.

15. Jordan Myles (ACH) defeated Boa in a Breakout Tournament First Round Match.

16. Damian Priest (Punishment Martinez) defeated Blanco Loco

17. Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock) defeated Dexter Lumis (Samuel Shaw) in a Breakout Tournament First Round match.

18. Shayna Baszler defeated Io Shirai to retain the Women’s title in a steel cage match.

After the match, Candice tried to console Io, but Io decked her with a few punches. Then she grabbed a chair, set it upright, and suplexed Candice onto it before leaving.
