IMPACT World Title Match & More Set For Emergence

The IMPACT World Championship match has been booked for the Emergence IMPACT Plus special on August 12 in Chicago, Illinois. 

A number one contender's match pitting Motor City Machine Guns tag team partners Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin against each other took place on Thursday's episode of IMPACT. After a back and forth contest, Shelley picked up the win, forcing Sabin to submit while trapped in the Border City Stretch.

With the win, Shelley will challenge for the IMPACT World Title for the first time and go one-on-one with champion Josh Alexander. 

Also added to Emergence was a Knockouts World Tag Team Title match and Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary will defend the gold against Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo of VXT. The match came about on Thursday after Purrazzo and Green defeated Jordynne Grace and Mia Yim in tag team action. Purrazzo demanded a Knockouts World Title match but Gail Kim granted VXT a tag title shot instead. 

Two luchadors will make their IMPACT debuts at Emergence too when Bandido and Rey Horus face off inside the squared circle.
