Jake Hager's Third Bellator MMA Fight Ends In No Contest

For the first time since entering the world of Bellator MMA, Jake Hager does not emerge victorious from the rounded cage. But he did not lose his fight either.
Hager ended up going to a no-contest with fellow heavyweight Anthony Garrett after 1:56 of the first round.
The muscle of Chris Jericho's Inner Circle in AEW had Garrett clinched up against the cage and attempted a knee that was presumably aimed for Garrett's leg. Instead, he ended up getting Garrett in the groin with the knee, which understandably caused Garrett to collapse in agony.
Garrett was unable to continue the fight within a mandated five minute rest period, resulting in it being halted, ruled a no-contest.
Hager's record goes to 2-0-1 due to the errant strike, while Garrett's goes to 4-2-1.
Hager's Inner Circle allies Sammy Guevara, Ortiz, and Santana were all present for the fight in Uncasville, CT. In an interview with the group prior to the fight, Ortiz trash-talked Garrett, and threatened to jump into the cage and stab him.
