Jay White Loses Loser Leaves Japan Match At NJPW The New Beginning In Osaka

Jay White is done in Japan following his loss at The New Beginning in Osaka

Jay White's pro wrestling career in Japan is over.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion faced Hikuleo in a Loser Leaves Japan Match at The New Beginning in Osaka on Saturday, February 11. Jay White managed to hit Hikuleo with a Blade Runner down the stretch but he was unable to make the cover. Hikuleo then decked White with a Powerbomb and a Chokeslam for the victory after they shared a Too Sweet, ending White's time in Japan in the process.

White accepted his fate following the loss, surprisingly sharing a fist bump with Hiroshi Tanahashi, who was on commentary, before Gedo guided Switchblade up the main ramp so he could bathe in the adulation of the crowd one last time in Japan.

White's loss comes after reports noted the Bullet Club leader's contract with NJPW is set to expire and he is expected to leave the promotion. WWE and All Elite Wrestling are believed to be interested in signing White.

White will have at least one more NJPW match before he potentially exits the promotion. He is scheduled to face Eddie Kingston at Battle in the Valley in San Jose, California on Saturday, February 18.
