Jesse Ventura Not Running To Be Vice President In US Presidential Election

No plans for Jesse Ventura to run as Vice Presidential candidate in US election

Recent reports suggested that WWE Hall of Famer and former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura was looking to get back in to US politics in a major way, with it suggested that Ventura was being considered as a potential running mate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Kennedy’s campaign to become the next President of the United States of America.

Kennedy attended a political rally on March 26 and announced that neither Ventura or other shortlisted candidate Aaron Rodgers would be joining him on the campaign trail, with Kennedy announcing that attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan would be vying to become Vice President of the USA.

Whilst ‘The Body’ is not an active politician anymore, he is still heavily involved with the American political scene, with Ventura an active member of the Green Party, whilst regularly commenting on the state of US politics and the need for the US political system to become a proper three-party situation rather than the traditional Democrat vs. Republican set-up. Ventura is also a noted voice on conspiracy theories.

Despite having a frosty relationship with WWE and former owner Vince McMahon for the best part of 30 years, Ventura was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, and memorably served as special guest referee in SummerSlam 99’s main event.
