Jinder Mahal Reveals WWE Told Him He Was No Longer An Active Wrestler

Jinder Mahal managed Indus Sher at the back end of his WWE career and was told he wasn't wrestling

Following the end of his WWE run, Jinder Mahal has repackaged himself as Raj Dhesi on the independent scene, competing in the likes of GCW and AAA thus far, and even winning the AAA World Tag Team Championships alongside AEW’s Satnam Singh as his first piece of gold since leaving WWE.

When speaking to Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho, he revealed that WWE told him he was no longer an active wrestler.

“So the last two years, I wasn’t doing much. I was managing Indus Sher. In a way, they had retired me. They told me I wasn’t an active wrestler anymore, which was kind of weird. I think maybe they just wanted the focus to be on Indus Sher. I don’t know, something fresh, something new which I get because I had become very stale. Creative wise, I wasn’t doing much, which is, okay, I get it. I get it. Things change. That’s how my career has always been.”

In the last few years of his WWE career, whether it be injuries or a lack of creative plans, Mahal wrestled very sporadically.
