Matt Riddle, Jinder Mahal & Alberto El Patron Crowned As Champions In AAA
Several new champions crowned at AAA's show last night
It was a bust night in AAA last night at TripleMania 32 CDMX as several new notable champions were crowned. Raj Dhesi (formerly known as Jinder Mahal) teamed up with newly aligned partner and AEW wrestler Satnam Singh to defeat Negro Casas & Psycho Clown and Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno del Mal in a three-way match to become the brand new AAA World Tag Team Champions. This marks Singh’s first ever championship win in his whole career. Jeff Jarrett would interfere on the behalf of Singh & Dhesi to help them win the match.
Additionally, Matt Riddle got his hands on some gold, defeating Laredo Kid & AEW’s Komander to become the new AAA Cruiserweight Champion, which is his first title win in the promotion. This brought an end to Komander’s reign which lasted for over 300 days.
Finally, later on in the night a rematch took place between AAA Mega Champion Nic Nemeth and Alberto El Patron. Nemeth was surprisingly accompanied to the ring by JBL, who watched from the crowd. Patron hit a low blow to win the match, and after the bout it was revealed that he was aligned with Konnan and was “The Eye” who has been causing havoc backstage in AAA.
