Joe Hendry Returns On WWE NXT

Joe Hendry back on WWE NXT following Heatwave tease

Following a big tease at the end of WWE NXT Heatwave and another tease during Monday Night Raw, Joe Hendry made his return on Tuesday night's edition of NXT, being revealed as Trick Williams' mystery partner for the main event of the show against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears.

Not only that, but Hendry emerged victorious in the main event. The match was an even contest until Oro Mensah chased off Ethan Page as he looked to exact revenge on 'All Ego' for Noam Dar's injury. This left Shawn Spears all alone and Hendry picked up the win for the babyfaces with the Standing Ovation.

Hendry and Williams celebrated to end NXT and the former NXT Champion noted after the show that all he had to do to get Hendry back was "say his name." Hendry then showed some respect to Williams, saying he "really whooped that trick."

Hendry first popped up in WWE NXT on June 18 in a battle royal to determine Trick Williams' challenger at Heatwave. Hendry's debut was so popular that the WWE Performance Center literally shook but he didn't enjoy the same success in the battle royal, being eliminated within seconds by TNA foe Frankie Kazarian.

Hendry's appearances on WWE NXT look set to continue as part of the brand's working relationship with TNA, with reports indicating he is planned to be used "heavily" as part of the TNA-WWE NXT crossover.

Outside of TNA and WWE NXT, Joe Hendry will be in action at NORTH Wrestling Thunderstruck 2 at Newcastle upon Tyne's Walker Dome this Saturday when he takes on former WWE star Elijah.
