John Cena WWE 2K23 Showcase Mode Match List Revealed

As the cover star of WWE 2K23, John Cena will be the centrepiece of the upcoming title's Showcase Mode. In a deviation from the norm, players will control Cena's opponents as they look to defeat the 16-time world champion in matches that Cena ultimately did lose during his in-ring career.

In an update on the mode, 2K have revealed which matches will be playable in the WWE 2K23 Showcase of Cena's career. Cena's matches against CM Punk and Bray Wyatt will not be featured in the mode as neither are in WWE 2K23 due to Punk's status as an AEW talent and Wyatt being a free agent when development on the game began. 

Key matches against the likes of Edge, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and AJ Styles will be in the mode. 2K also noted that matches will be locked to maintain the "countdown" aspect of Showcase Mode, but bouts won't take place chronologically.
