Kenny Omega Provides Update On Kota Ibushi's Shoulder

Kota Ibushi has been out of action since October 2021

Despite being on opposite sides of the world and in different companies, The Golden Lovers still have one thing in common - they are both out of action with injury.

Kenny Omega’s injury woes are very well documented, whilst Kota Ibushi has been out of action with a shoulder injury, and has also had professional clashes with members of New Japan management.

The pair are still very close outside of the ring, and Omega gave an update on Ibushi’s condition, saying the following on a CEOGaming Twitch stream when asked who will return to the ring first:

“Considering my shoulder is still attached, probably me. Ibushi’s shoulder’s not healing so great right now unfortunately,” said Omega.

Ibushi last wrestled in the G1 Climax Final in October 2021, losing to Kazuchika Okada, and it’s believed that Ibushi picked up the injury there. Considering what we know of Omega’s injuries and projected road back to competition, then it would be wise to expect Kota Ibushi back later rather than sooner.
