Kurt Angle Reveals Why He Didn't Appear On WWE Raw Legends Night

Multiple advertised names missed the show

WWE Raw received a ratings boost to kick off 2021 as Raw Legends Night averaged 2.128 million viewers - the red brand's highest viewership since March 16, 2020. The likes of Hulk Hogan, Alicia Fox, Ric Flair, Tatanka and Mickie James were featured on the show, but multiple advertised names failed to appear.

It has since emerged that Carlito did not appear on Raw because he didn't want to travel across the United States for a two-minute cameo, and Candice Michelle told Wrestling Inc. that WWE "falsely promoted" her appearance since they never asked her to be on the show.

Kurt Angle was also not in attendance on Raw despite being advertised. When asked about his absence during a Facebook Q&A, The Wrestling Machine revealed that he had already made plans for the evening which he couldn't get out of.

Angle wrote: "I had a prior engagement I was commited to. I couldn't get out of it."

When Angle will next appear on WWE TV remains to be seen.
