Latest On Eddie Kingston Following NJPW Resurgence Injury

Eddie Kingston's injury expected to be addressed on AEW Dynamite

There is still no update on Eddie Kingston's condition following Saturday night's NJPW Resurgence pay-per-view, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported. The expectation, though, is that Kingston's injury will be addressed on Wednesday night's Dynamite.

Kingston sustained the injury on May 11 during his No-Rope Last Man Standing Match against Gabe Kidd following a Suplex from the apron through a table propped up between the ring and the guardrail. Kingston's knee smashed into the top of the rail and he required assistance after the match. He was then spotted walking backstage with a bad limp.

AEW executives were said to be "crossing their fingers" that Kingston would be okay. The former AEW Continental Champion is currently scheduled to team with Bryan Danielson and FTR against The Elite in an Anarchy in the Arena Match at Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 26.

Eddie Kingston was attacked by The Young Bucks and Jack Perry after he dropped the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship to Gabe Kidd at Resurgence. The angle could be used to explain Kingston missing Double or Nothing, if he is indeed forced to miss the pay-per-view.
