Long-Absent AEW Star Returning Soon

AEW star returning soon, possibly as soon as Wednesday's Dynamite

A long-absent talent in All Elite Wrestling will be returning to the promotion soon, according to a new report.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that the word making the rounds at AEW's tapings from Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas over the weekend was that Tay Melo would be returning soon. Some even believed that Melo's return could be as soon as Wednesday night's edition of Dynamite.

Tay Melo hasn't wrestled since March 2023 and she has been gone from AEW programming altogether for around a year. She gave birth to her and Sammy Guevara's daughter in November 2023.

Melo noted in late May that it would be a "couple more months" until she was cleared to wrestle again. She has been training for an AEW comeback in recent months.

Melo's husband Sammy Guevara recently made his own return, although he resurfaced in Ring of Honor instead of All Elite Wrestling. According to reports, AEW's plans would have seen Guevara return to All Elite Wrestling as a heel but he was opposed to the plans the promotion had for him.

Guevara has instead been a babyface in Ring of Honor aligned with Dustin Rhodes.
