Lucha Bros & PAC Booked For CMLL
AEW’s Death Triangle (Lucha Bros & PAC) to wrestle for CMLL
It seems the ‘true forbidden door’ has been opened, with the news that Death Triangle are set to compete at an upcoming CMLL event in Arena Mexico on July 26.
For the team of Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo, it will mark their return to CMLL for the first time since 2019, with the Lucha Bros’ subsequent return to CMLL’s fierce rivals Lucha Libre AAA the same year seemingly making any further appearances for CMLL impossible.
Since CMLL entered into a working agreement with All Elite Wrestling they have sent several talents to AEW, whilst others have made the return trip to Arena Mexico, but the recent teaming of CMLL’s Mistico with Fenix and Penta at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door was a true dream scenario, with it later revealed that as Fenix and Penta are not currently associated with AAA that CMLL were fine in booking them alongside their own talent.
For others on AEW’s roster with remaining ties to AAA - such as Komander - it seems as though their chances of working with or for CMLL remain at zero.
