Lucha Brothers Win AEW World Tag Team Titles From Young Bucks At AEW All Out

The Bucks have at last been dethroned

Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo are the new AEW World Tag Team champions, after defeating The Young Bucks in a wild, blood-soaked steel cage match at AEW All Out in Chicago on Sunday night.

The finish came after Fenix dove off of the 20 foot high steel cage onto both Bucks (and Penta while he held both in place). With Matt incapacitated, the Lucha Brothers dropped Nick with Fear Factor for the win.

All four men bled during the match, after Brandon Cutler threw in a shoe with thumbtacks lining the bottom.

For Fenix and Penta, they become the fifth different set of Tag Team champions in AEW history. They initially lost in the tournament final to crown the inaugural champions, losing to Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SCU.

Matt and Nick Jackson's reign as AEW World Tag Team champions ends at 302 days, the longest reign for those particular titles. They won the belts from FTR at Full Gear on November 7, 2020 in Jacksonville.

The Lucha Bros' win comes two years after they defeated the Bucks in a ladder match to win the AAA Tag Team titles at All Out 2019.
