Mance Warner Wins GCW World Championship

Mance Warner is the new GCW World Champion

Game Changer Wrestling has a new world champion in Mance Warner, after a truly hectic ending at Cage of Survival III.

The title was declared vacant by GCW General Manager Matt Cardona, with champion Blake Christian stripped of the title due to his participation in New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors  31 tournament.

Christian was originally set to defend the title against Joey Janela, but after being stripped of the belt it was declared that a Gauntlet of Survival match was to take place to crown a new champion, with Janela set to enter last. Pre-show, Janela was attacked in his hotel room and wasn’t cleared to compete.

The Gauntlet was eventually won by Charles Mason, with Cardona then sarcastically counting down Janela’s arrival as there was technically one space left. That space was in-turn filled by Nick Gage, with Gage dropping Mason to win the title for a fourth time. An incensed Cardona then decided that Broski Jimmy would be the official final entrant, with Jimmy ending the match as champion… until a heavily taped up Joey Janela finally arrived to defeat Broski and win the title.

Cole Radrick then tried to cash in his Grab the Brass Ring title shot but was put through a door by Steph De Lander, with Mance Warner then showing up to hit Janela with a chair, before cashing in his Do or Die title shot, then pinning Janela to definitively win the title after an Implant DDT.
