Minoru Suzuki Needed Seven Stitches Following AEW Bout With Jon Moxley

The two had a hard hitting affair on this week’s AEW: Dynamite

Minoru Suzuki made his AEW debut this week in a hard hitting affair with Jon Moxley on Dynamite.

After taking multiple hard strikes and two Paradigm Shifts, Suzuki tasted defeat, with Moxley getting the successful three-count.

At some point in the bout Suzuki got busted open somewhere around his eyebrow, and according to a Tweet from Emi Sakura, Suzuki required seven stitches to close the wound.

“@suzuki_D_minoru sewed 7 stitches. Research by Emi #AEWDyanmite #ChocoPro” Tweeted Sakura, accompanied by a video of Suzuki walking backstage. In the video, Sakura attempts to ask Suzuki how he is feeling before getting brushed off.

The injury will come as no surprise to fans of Suzuki, with the notoriously tough King of Pancrase building his reputation and legend over 30 years with match after match of extremely hard hitting wrestling.

Suzuki is also a pioneer of MMA, with his hybrid wrestling/fighting Pancrase promotion in the early 90s making the likes of Suzuki and Ken Shamrock household names.
