MJF Cast In 'The Iron Claw'

MJF has landed a significant role in the Von Erich family biopic

AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman is making moves in Hollywood.

Deadline reported that MJF has been cast as Lance Von Erich in the upcoming film The Iron Claw. He joins a cast that includes Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Lily James and others.

It is Friedman's first role in a feature film. The report noted that he is represented by CAA and Activist Artist Management.

The Iron Claw will tell the tragic story of The Von Erich wrestling family from the 1960s to the present day.

Lance Von Erich wasn't actually a member of the Von Erich family, but a young wrestler named William Kevin Vaughan who was discovered by family patriarch and promoter Fritz.

The deception caused a backlash and Fritz was forced to expose Vaughn's real identity once he left World Class Championship Wrestling. Vaughn retired from professional wrestling in 1996.

MJF has been absent from AEW television for the last couple of weeks, following an attack by Stokely Hathaway and The Firm.

He is scheduled to return on tonight's episode of Dynamite.
