Morale In AEW Reportedly ‘Very High’ Following Full Gear

Full Gear was a critical success

AEW all but capped-off a very successful year on Saturday night, as Full Gear received rave critical reviews from industry peers and fans alike.

The climax of the show saw Hangman Adam Page defeat Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship, and a report from MatMen podcast’s Andrew Zarian claims spirits are high backstage in AEW, with Zarian Tweeting

“Spoke to someone within AEW last night regarding the PPV. “Morale is very high with the locker room. The investment AEW has made in its future stars is paying dividends”"

AEW has certainly had a banner 2021, and despite fears of their homegrown and younger talent being forgotten due to the big name signings they’ve made this year, this doesn’t seem to be the case, with the self-proclaimed ‘four pillars of AEW’ - MJF, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and Jungle Boy - all having stand-out matches at the show, never mind the emergence of stars like Dante Martin, and of course the crowning of the first ‘homegrown’ AEW World Champion in Hangman Page.
