New Japan Cup 2021 Results - March 15, 2021: Jay White Vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, YOSHI-HASHI Vs. David Finlay

The quarter-final lineup is set

The final second-round matches of the New Japan Cup 2021 took place earlier today at Korakuen Hall. David Finlay took on YOSHI-HASHI in the semi-main event and Jay White rekindled his feud with Hiroshi Tanahashi in the fifth and final match on the show.

David Finlay advanced to the quarter-finals following a 13-minute match with YOSHI-HASHI. The IMPACT World Tag Team Champion blocked a second Karma attempt from YOSHI-HASHI with a Stunner and followed up with ACID DROP for the 1-2-3.

Jay White then managed to put away Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event. The Ace blocked two Blade Runner attempts during the finish, but White finally connected with the move after reversing a Dragon Screw Leg Whip and pinned Tanahashi for the win.
