Update On Which Match Will Main Event WWE Bad Blood

Several big matches are set for WWE Bad Blood, but one in particular is lined up to close the show.

There have been recent conflicting reports and speculation regarding the main event of WWE's upcoming Bad Blood PLE. However, Fightful Select have cleared things up, and have received a strong indication that one match in particular will close the show. Their report states:

"Over the weekend, USA Network ran an article indicating that CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in Hell in a Cell would be the main event of the Bad Blood PLE. This would make sense in many ways, considering how high profile the feud is and the Hell in a Cell stipulation.

"However, as of the time that Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns filmed their vignette and promo at Georgia Tech, the working plan internally was to have that match against the Bloodline close the PLE. Cody Rhodes is from the area, and WWE is having a school band play him in. We're told that Roman Reigns' connection to the are also played a role in that decision."

As mentioned, last week's SmackDown saw an on-location promo between Cody and Roman, one which kept tension high between the pair and teased a possible rematch for the title once their feud with the Bloodline is over.

At the time of writing, the current Bad Blood card looks like this:

  • Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu
  • CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre - Hell in a Cell
  • Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley - Women's World Championship - Dominik Mysterio in a Shark Cage
  • Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley or Naomi - WWE Women's Championship
  • Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor
