Backstage News On Segment Between Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes On SmackDown

There were several names responsible for the segment between Rhodes & Reigns

One of the biggest talking points from the September 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown was the face to face between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, which took place inside Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium, where Reigns used to play football. This comes ahead of the pair teaming together at the upcoming Bad Blood 2024 premium live event, which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. They will be taking on the duo of Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline.

PWInsider have reported on several names who were important behind the scenes in making this segment a success. Jeremy Borash, the Senior Director of Content and Development in NXT, was reportedly present to help produce the segment, with it said that he has been Triple H’s go-to guy for location segments such as the one between Rhodes & Reigns. Rob Free, WWE’s Director of Character Development was also there, collaborating with Borash.

Additionally, Reigns’ “Wise Man” Paul Heyman was on scene and sources have revealed that he was “intricately involved” in the segment, directing Rhodes & Reigns through their performance.
