New United Empire Member To Be Revealed At NJPW Sakura Genesis

Who will it be?

Over the weekend, Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan revealed The United Empire had a "secret weapon" who would be joining the faction soon.

Fans won't have to wait long to find out who the group's newest member is as they will seemingly be revealed at Sakura Genesis on April 4. Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb will team with a mystery partner on the show, who will ultimately be the new member, against Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi and SANADA in a six-man tag team match.

Some speculated the new member would be Toa Henare, particularly after he teased a heel turn during the New Japan Cup final show, but the Kiwi is headed back to New Zealand. Ultimately, fans will just have to wait until April 4.

The United Empire is a relatively new faction in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, having been formed following Will Ospreay's defection from Chaos during G1 Climax 30. The Commonwealth Kingpin and girlfriend Bea Priestley immediately joined forces with Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb became the fourth member ahead of World Tag League 2020.

The group is ultimately back down to three, though, after Ospreay attacked his girlfriend following his New Japan Cup 2021 win.
