Report: George Clooney Legitimately Sent Mercedes Moné Tequila Following AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Following her win at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door to become a double champion, Mercedes Moné revealed at the post-show scrum that she had been sent a bottle of tequila by George Clooney. While some assumed that Moné may have just had the bottle on hand already, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported the Hollywood A-lister legitimately sent Moné a bottle of his Casamigos tequila to celebrate her win. 

How exactly George Clooney and Mercedes Moné became connected is unknown but Moné previously gifted Orange Cassidy a bottle of Clooney's tequila following Double or Nothing as she already had too much tequila. If Clooney is a pro wrestling fan is unknown but he is connected to the sport, having dated Stacey Keibler for two years from 2011 until 2013.

George Clooney's Casamigos tequila brand has been around since 2013. The blanco tequila has a long smooth finish with hints of citrus, vanilla, and agave. 

Mercedes Moné defeated Stephanie Vaquer to retain the AEW TBS Championship and win the NJPW STRONG Women's Title at Forbidden Door. The match has been widely praised and Moné reportedly went into the match with the intention of "making" Vaquer.
