New WWE Tag Team Title Belts Reportedly Headed For WrestleMania 35

But will they be unveiled?

Shortly after Sasha Banks and Bayley became the WWE Women's Tag Team champions at Elimination Chamber, it was reported that new designs for the men's equivalent belts for Raw and SmackDown had been commissioned.

The prior story quoted championship belt designer and insider Belt Fan Dan, who claimed that renowned belt designer Dave Millican was working on the reported new designs.

Belt Fan Dan tweeted earlier Friday, claiming that new men's Tag Team titles are on site at WrestleMania 35, but is unsure if in fact they will be debuted as part of the WrestleMania broadcast.

Dan notes that the alleged new belts were in fact designed by Millican, and have "removable team sideplates."

The current Spartan-helmet design for the Raw and SmackDown belts dates back to August 2010, when a bronze-tinted version of the design was issued to then-champions Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith, The Hart Dynasty. The 2016 brand split led to Raw and SmackDown adopting silver-plated variants of the belts, with red and blue straps indicating the designation of the respective brands.
