New Japan Pro-Wrestling revealed their schedule for the first half of 2022 today during day two of Wrestle Kingdom 16.

In a major announcement, Wrestling Dontaku will return to the Fukuoka Dome - now named the PayPay Dome - for the first time since 2001 on Sunday, May 1. Following the series, NJPW will hold their 50th Anniversary Show at the Nippon Budokan on Tuesday, March 1 before the New Japan Cup gets underway on March 2 at the same venue.

New Japan Cup matches will then take place throughout March until the final two days on March 26 and March 27 from Osaka Jo-Hall.

NJPW also announced a Sumo Hall date for Saturday, April 9 and another event from Osaka Jo-Hall on Sunday, June 12. Those events have yet to be named, though.
